 Located in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, artistry and
crafting are a way of life. What better place to get the inspiration one needs to create
beautiful works of art. Pier Pleasure is our way of sharing with you the "pure
pleasure" we've found in this one-of-a-kind area.
The History of Pier Pleasure
On March 21, 2001 we opened up our very first retail outlet -- a booth at the Crafter's
Gallery in Kitty Hawk, NC. Our product line consisted only of some gel candles and our
handmade soaps, but they were a big hit! Unfortunately, in December 2002, the owner of the
store made a very tough decision to retire. We wish Helen the best in life and thank her
for all the guidance she has given us!
In January 2003, we printed our first retail and wholesale mail-order catalogs. Our first
wholesale order was from a gift shop in our own neighborhood, and they found us on the
internet!
